In the beginning of august, the famous and prestigious World Beer Awards were presented in London… We congratulate all winners offcourse, but we wouldn’t be “Beer of Belgium”, if we wouldn’t focus proudly on some of our Belgian champions, available in our shop:
Delirium Red - “ World's Best Flavoured Fruit & Vegetable” Belgian Fruit Beer from brewery Huyghe with a soft, fruity aroma with hints of almond, tart cherries and cherries in the nose. Soft, mild fruity onset. Ideal as a desert beer!
Rodenbach caractère rouge - “World’s Best Fruit Lambic” A Flemish red-brown beer that was developped in collaboration with Belgian star chef Vicky Geunes. A very complex, fruity scent of raspberry & cherry in combination with touches of wood & caramel.
Oude Geuze Boon - “World’s Best Gueuze” From brewery Boon: a selected blend of 90% mellow Lambic (min. 18 months old), 5% of 3-year old beer full of character & 5% young lambic. Can be kept (in good conditions) for more than 20 years!
Oude Kriek Cuvée Renée “World’s Best Kriek” A Fruit Beer Lambic from brewery Lindemans. Smoothly sourish, sparkling & well-balanced taste with a fruity cherry touch and a dry refreshing aftertaste. This beer can be kept for many years, and like wine, you’ll notice a taste evolution.
Brunehaut, Bio Blonde Gluten Free - “World's Best Speciality Gluten-free” From the Brasserie de Brunehaut, this Gluten-free organic beer is light, refreshing & balanced, with slightly spicy yeast aroma.
Sint Bernardus Prior 8 - “world’s best dark Belgian style Dubbel 2019” This Belgian Abbey Beer has a Malty, fruity taste & a bittersweet aftertaste.
